If you’re blogging in the US, you know all about $997 courses and high-ticket mastermind groups.

Well, guess what? Japan has the exact same thing! And back in the day, I was the ultimate sucker for them.

Whenever a new sales page popped up promising “The Ultimate Automated Income System,” my credit card was already out. If it came with templates and shiny bonuses? Oh man, sign me up!

I’d open the new course thinking, “THIS IS IT! This is the one that’s gonna make me rich!”

Sound familiar? (lol)

Three big programs in Japan became a huge part of my journey: Unlimited Affiliate, PRIDE, and Dream Writing.

• Unlimited Affiliate: A massive affiliate marketing program covering blogs, email funnels, and sales pages. The problem? It had SO MUCH information that I froze. I spent more time reading manuals than actually building anything.
• PRIDE: A course focused on niche blogging and ad revenue. Tons of great info on keyword research, but again… a mountain of homework.

Now, to be fair, those high-ticket tiers offered direct personal support from real humans. I’m not saying they were scams—I learned valuable lessons from them about writing for a single, real reader.

But ask yourself this:

What happens when your 1-on-1 coaching call ends, and you get stuck on a WordPress bug the very next morning?

Do you book another $200 consultation? Do you buy another course?

Or do you just open ChatGPT for $20 a month and solve it in 5 minutes?

Why Pay for a Coach When You Have AI in Your Pocket?

Think about how traditional business coaching works:
